EASILY BROKEN GLASS - FLYING GLASS SPLINTERS
Tubes are assembled under vacuum and once the structural integrity of the glass is breached they shatter spreading their contents over a wide area. Dust from broken lamps contains chemicals, glass and old dirt deposited on the lamp itself. Thus severe injuries can result from apparently simple cuts contaminated by a variety of these unpleasant substances.
