The Law on Waste In 1992, under the framework of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Duty of Care was introduced. It requires controlled waste, including technical waste, to be disposed of properly and legally. The Environment Agency are continually involved in assessing and reviewing targets for waste minimisation.
Landfill tax increases means that it is becoming more expensive to ignore effective waste management, whereas recycling cuts costs and protects your future.
